Welcome to Ananda Ranch -
we're all about the Horses because ...

Horses Heal the Scars Time Can't
Take Away
“It was a deep experience and very profound in creating self-awareness and change.” - Giovanna Taormina, Co-founder of Girl's Circle
When girls and women come to Ananda Ranch, the horses help them gain the confidence, courage and determination needed to find and follow their bliss.
Working with horses gives girls and women the tools to reconnect with their forgotten and neglected selves and teaches them how to rejoice in the Bliss of Empowerment.

Our goal is to create an opportunity for participants to heal by utilizing the intuitive nature of horses which is taken up and then interpreted by the clients themselves.
The Ananda Ranch philosophy is built on one principle: Greatness Comes from Within. We are here to empower girls and women and to help them Find and Follow their Bliss. Our program is designed to specifically nurture the female gender’s unique intellectual, psychological, and emotional needs - addressing the whole person in mind, body and spirit. We promote natural healing from the inside out - we are women helping women.
This is a behavioral learning, not horseback riding, program which has shown to have a powerful impact on females by increasing their emotional, behavioral, and physical health so that they can develop confidence, courage, and determination to enhance their abilities to take full advantage of their talents, academic interests, career pursuits and potential for healthy relationships.
By playing in a series of activities and games with the horses,

clients are able to visually interpret the real difficulties in their lives by reflecting on the way the horses confront them. This experiential modality works by creating the context in which clients can realize how much they already know and then use these abilities to remove individual barriers, providing a pathway to greater health and healing. This program’s model of structure is designed to foster self-esteem, help young girls maintain authentic connection with peers and community and to counter trends toward self-doubt and harmful decision-making.
Every equine activity is performed on the ground, rather than riding, to keep the focus on the assigned goal and experience; therefore, all clients are able to participate regardless of age, prior horse experience and/or physical disabilities.
